Pricing Methodology
How Pricing Is Determined
Service pricing is calculated using the RARS.NET Cost Allocation Model (CAM), which
incorporates infrastructure costs, regional overhead, compliance administration fees,
incident reserve contributions, and a portfolio of surcharges whose names and amounts
are disclosed during contract negotiation. The CAM is recalculated annually, or more
frequently when recalculation would result in higher fees.
Pricing quotes are valid for thirty (30) days from issuance, after which a new quote
must be requested. The new quote may differ from the original due to market conditions,
CAM recalculations, or the passage of time, which is itself considered a cost factor.
Volume discounts may be available but are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are not
guaranteed to result in lower prices. In some cases, higher volumes trigger additional
compliance requirements whose costs exceed the discount.
Entities seeking pricing information should submit a Service Inquiry through the Support
portal. Inquiries are responded to within 10-15 business days. Inquiries that include
the phrase "can you just tell me the price" are routed to a specialized queue.
